Also leaking from the App Store today was the latest version of Geocaching with Geosphere. This is a mix of bug fixes and enhancements as detailed in the release notes.

MotionX GPS Lite version 12.5

Checking my iPhone for updates I discovered that MotionX GPS LIte have been updated to version 12.5. The most notable change seems to been improved distance measurements.

Geocaching iOS App version 4.1

It was only yesterday when Groundspeak announced they submitted version 4.1 of their Geocaching App to Apple's App Store. Today that update is available for download and promises fixes for a few issues bothering its users. The release notes for this version are available on Groundspeak's Get Satisfaction page.

Geocaching iOS App version 4.0.1

Groundspeak's update to their Geocaching iOS App hit the App Store today. Version 4.0.1 includes a number of bug fixes and enhancements. More information is available in their release notes. Unfortunately there are some known issues which still remain in this version. Some of those include issues with large pocket queries and additional waypoints which don't appear on the map. I'm looking forward to getting this version onto my iPhone 3G S and tested with iOS 4.

iGeoCacher 2.5

It's been some time since we've seen an update to iGeoCacher, but today version 2.5 dropped in the App Store. This version takes advantage of new functionality in iOS 4 allowing GPX and LOC files to be opened directly from the mail app.

Geocaching Buddy version 4.3

Today's app updates from the App Store included a new version of Geocaching Buddy. Release notes aren't posted yet, but the notes in the app store indicate fixes for iOS 4 and the addition of a quick search bar.

Geosphere Version 2.3 Released

Almost two weeks after the release of 2.2.3 another update of Geocaching with Geosphere has popped up in the App Store. Version 2.3 include more bug fixes and enhancements most targeted for iOS4 devices, but still works with OS 3.1. One of the most interesting enhancements is the ability to import attachments directly from Apple's Mail app on iOS4 devices. More information is available in the release notes for version 2.3.

Geocaching iOS App version 4

Many iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad users will be thrilled to discover the new version of the Geocaching App from Groundspeak is now available for download in the App Store. This new version provides a number of great updates including iOS 4 compatibility. Some of the more notable ones include the return of Google Maps (now an option), photo uploads with logs, dropping of trackables, and notes for caches. It's available for download now and you can find it through iTunes or the App Store on your iOS device.

Drie will be happy to learn that the Geocaching Buddy app has been updated overnight. GB has been her choice for working puzzle caches for the last couple years and her database is loaded up with all the caches se's solved This version introduces support for iOS 4 and better support for pasting.

MotionX GPS Lite version 12.1

I misses it yesterday but MotionX's free GPS app for iOS was updated Thursday in the App Store. This can be a great tool for those GPSR users looking for that functionality from their iPhone or iPod Touch with a GPS dock (i.e. Dual XGPS300).

Geosphere Version 2.2.3 Released

Last night the latest update to Geocaching with Geosphere for iOS users was released in the App Store. Full notes for this version can be found in their forums, but this is mostly a bug fix and iOS 4 update.

Checking for updates on my iPhone this evening I found that another update to Geocaching with Geosphere has been released. This version addresses the issues with uploading field notes. I'll be anxious to give it a try since that's been a major reason I've gone back to the Geocaching app for my recent outings.

Available this morning through the App Store is the Geocaching with Geosphere 2.2.1 update. According to the release notes (available here) this release includes one new feature and four bug fixes.

Appearing in my iTunes App Store updates this morning was "Geocaching with Geosphere" version 2.2. This updates includes many new features and bug fixes (release notes available here). Some of the more notable ones include rotating maps for devices with the electronic compass, cache attribute support, new find counter, and customizable field note templates. This is a free upgrade for existing users and $7.99 US for new users.

Checking my iPhone app updates this morning I found a new version of Geocaching with Geosphere now available in the iTunes App Store. This version improves support fo external GPSRs. I'm looking forward to the "Significant upgrade coming soon...." Full release notes on version 2.1.2 are available from the Geosphere Support Forums.

Geocaching iPhone App version 3.1

Released in the iTunes store this morning is the latest version of Groundspeak's Geocaching iPhone App. Version 3.1 really focuses on reducing headaches during the high-traffic periods (like the last several Sundays). This part of the larger development effort for all of Geocaching.com to improve performance as the activity grows and traffic increases. It's available now through the App Store as a free upgrade to existing users.

MotionX GPS Lite 9.4

MotionX just seems to rank out these updates. Tonight's take them to version 9.4 with bug fixes and optimizations. I haven't even tried version 9 yet.

MotionX GPS Lite Version 9.3

I stopped posting updates a while back about updates to MotionX GPS Lite simply because they were happening so frequently. They're still rolling them out though and just released today is version 9.3. I've not had the chance to open it up though since version 9 was released so I'm looking forward to giving it a try.

Geocaching Buddy Version 4.1 Released

Checking for updates this morning I found one from BtStSoft for their Geocaching Buddy. This doesn't look to offer much that I'm interested aside from the preloading of images.
